This past weekend we had the chance to take the dogs out to Fiesta Island for a little off-leash fun and a run. With the wet weather we've had on and off for the past few weeks, it's been tough to get them out much other than for our regular walks. They love the freedom of the large open area Fiesta Island offers. It's one of the few really large open spaces in San Diego that is entirely off leash, and we love it. This time of year it is especially nice, as the fox tails haven't dried out and become a problem and the weeds that are there offer a soft, green blanket for the pups to play on. The trails are wide and largely unoccupied, and the other visitors we do encounter seem pleasant, both the 2 legged variety, and 4 legged ones. It was a nice little outing for us all.
