We live about 2 blocks from a canyon, so it's not really unusual to see these kinds of critters cruising around, but up close and personal like this was a little creepy! It's no wonder they come though, our neighbors behind us have a nice peach tree, and to an opossum, a peach tree is a free meal, 24 hours a day baby! All you can eat. Great....

Uninvited Guest
As if the big bug the other day wasn't enough...we saw this little guy cruising across our fence last night. (Each fence board is 8" wide, and he covers 2 of them, so I'm thinking that 16" of opossum isn't really all that "little", now, is it? ) Oh, the dogs wanted to catch themselves some opossum, but we were able to hold them back...

One night a few months ago I took Mackenzie out pretty late at night. Well, while she was doing her business, she spied one of these buggers riding the fence (exactly like your pic) and completely FREAKED! She didn't know what to do! She ran to the fence barking up a storm only to turn and run away towards the house...too funny. Needless to say we haven't seen'em (or her) since.
