This past weekend we were invited to a birthday party for one of our pooch pals. Our friend Cori was turning 6, and after a year of dealing with some tough health issues it was time to celebrate. We'd never been to a "real" birthday party for a pooch pal before, complete with a doggie birthday cake, party favors, hats and games. We had a blast!!

What a great party! Sometimes I think it would be better to hang out with a pack of Goldens and no one else. So much joy and happiness!
I love the new banner, by the way! It's perfect!

Okay, I understand the celebration after getting through the health problems. Truly I do. I'd be partying right along side everyone. But a birthday party?
I'll admit it to everyone here, I'm a cat person. That's not to say I don't love dogs. After all, Jack, Jill and Kona are my nephews and niece. I adore them! Cats are just easier and we can leave them alone for the weekend (when we visit afore mentioned nephews and niece.)
But I don't even know when my 2 cats' birthdays are. For one of them, I'm not even sure what YEAR.
Try to put a party hat on a cat and you'll look like you've been juggling knives, with a blindfold, after drinking a bottle of tequila.
