As I mentioned earlier, it's been 2 weeks since the car was stolen. Up until now, the only information that we have gotten was that the car had been located somewhere in Mexico (we assumed TJ), by a Mexican Federal Highway Police Officer, on the 14th. They did an inquiry on the car, and "at the time of inquiry, the vehicle was in custody." Those were the exact words that came to us on a little piece of paper in the mail. We called our insurance company, gave them the news, and they said they would handle it from there. They said they would send an agent to locate the car, and let us know the current condition...
Well, that conversation took place a week ago, and here we are, still waiting. Hubby called the insurance agent today asking for an update, and was told that the car was not located in TJ after all, but rather in Rosarito Beach, roughly 20 miles south of TJ. They haven't gotten an agent down to look at the car yet, but figured they should have all of the information they need in about a week. A WEEK! It's already been two weeks! They've had the car in "custody" for 10 days! And it's going to take another week? I think our insurance agent ought to hop on that little gecko friend of hers and go check it out for herself. Heck, I could hitch-hike down there and back in a matter of an hour or two....OK, maybe I'm exaggerating just a bit, I'd probably have a tough time hitch-hiking anywhere...(I don't call them "Chunky Legs in Motion" for nuthin) But, you get the picture.
What's taking so long? Get down there, check out what's left of the car, cut us a check, and lets be done with this bull-pucky. The P.O.S. rental is gettin old!

By the time the get your car back, there will be 2 dozen chickens living in it. I'm game for a road trip! We'll grab some lobster while we're there.
