The Birthday Boys!

Yesterday was Kona and his brother Joey's 2nd birthday! My, how the time does fly! Wasn't it just a couple of months ago that Kona came into our lives and looked like this? My perfect little "polar bear look-a-like" puppy! Now he is a big, beautiful white fluff-ball of a boy - with a silly grin that reminds me of his puppy days! He is such a wonderful boy - I just love him (and all of my fur-babies!) so much!!

Joey and Kona had a grand birthday party hosted by Auntie Val! She got them the most incredible cake I'd ever seen! She emailed the company a copy of a picture of Joey and Kona on their first birthday and they hand painted it onto the cake!

Val ordered it from a local company called "My Best Friend," a specialty pet bakery here in San Diego. Their website is http://www.mybestfriendpettreats.com/. (You should check out some of their creations when you get a chance!) The cake was made with all dog friendly ingredients and looked (and smelled) fantastic!

Before it was cake time...it was time for a picture..... and presents of course! "Hey! This one smells good!" "Jill! It's not your birthday!" Thank goodness they share! Ok, cake time at last! Kona dug right in to his piece! Jill wasn't too sure what to think at first. "Cake? For me?"
"Hey! This stuff is pretty good!"
Harley gave her piece a good sniff before devouring it! They all thoroughly enjoyed themselves -the cake and the presents were a big hit! It was such fun to do this for our fur-babies!
