August has left the building

August 2009 is history, and it was a heck of a month!

A few highlights include:

1. Jill's ordeal with hot spots. She might have been looking silly sporting those socks, but they sure helped to keep her from scratching!
2. A neighborhood reunion. It was great seeing faces I hadn't seen in over 25 years!
3. Fun on the bay! Our day jet skiing and tubing was one of the highlights of the summer!

4. The Padre Game with the pooches! This once a year event is always a blast - and the Padres actually won a game for a change!

5. Beating the heat at Coronado's Dog Beach.

6. I got a new washer. Not particularly what I wanted to spend nearly $900 on, but much needed.

7. We went river rafting for the first time ever. A new family favorite adventure. More on this soon!

8. The kids head back to school. Pickle is a sophomore, and AJ is a junior. Where have the years gone??

9. Kona became a fully certified therapy dog, and is now showing others how it's done!

10. August ends with a bang, and a spectacular sunset.

With all of the excitement of August behind me, I wonder what September will bring!
