Our first "official" Therapy Visit!

We just got home a short while ago from our first ever "official" therapy visit with Jack and Kona. We visited a Senior Citizen assisted living facility just north of where we live. It was a good first visit, and even though everyone was a bit anxious, it was a very pleasant experience. We went with one of our other friends that is also part of our little group within a group. The group of goldens from our Golden Retriever Meetup Group that all went to therapy training together is called the "Golden Angels".

Jack was a bit nervous and stressed, and whined on an off which, of course, made me a bit nervous...I think the problem was that he knew Kona was in the same building with Hubby, but he couldn't see him. (We all split up with different team captains and went separate ways...) Lesson learned...next time we will not go together.

As I mentioned though, all in all it was a good experience, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. The joy on the faces of the people we visited made it all very worth while.

Sue! Your golden angels look great. I've got to catch up on your posts. Sorry I've been out of the loop for a while. But, thank you for EVERYTHING. I am so happy I met you through our blogs and dogs.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon!

Glad you enjoyed it -- it's a really worthwhile activity. Darwin enjoys it but works really hard at it and always crashes when he gets home.

What a wonderful thing to do. The dogs mean so much to the people you visit.
