A Murder, a Mystery, and CAKE!

Hello, my name is Carrie Crooner Ravioli, and last night, while out at opening of a new speakeasy called the "Four Deuces", I witnessed a murder...

...and so the evening began. My Hubby hosted a "Dinner, Murder, Mystery" party at our friend Lisa's house in honor of my birthday - which, tah-dah, is today! What a total blast we had! If you've never done something like this, I would highly recommend it. There are actual games that you can purchase in stores, with fun names such as "Pasta, Passion and Pistols," and "Death before Dinner" to name a few. There were 10 of us in attendance, each with a specific role to play in the game. The club owner, his ex-wife, his scheming business partner, a corrupt politican, a young jazz singer, Al Capone, and inspector, etc. Before the game started, instructions were emailed to each guest, giving them inside information on their character, ideas on how to dress, etc. There was a lot of prep work that went into this party, and it really showed. It was SO. MUCH. FUN. Lisa made a fantastic Italian dinner to rival that at any swanky resturant. The cocktails flowed throughout the evening, as did the conversation and fun.

What a fun way to spend time with friends!!
