I slept...

...for a change, like a log.

I do, on occasion, have trouble getting and staying asleep. A lot of trouble. It's one of those things where I just can't turn my brain off. Those occasions have been frequent lately, and it seems that I hadn't had a decent night of sleep in weeks, if not longer. Every little sound in the house wakes me, especially Hubby's snoring.

I'm not sure exactly why I slept so soundly last night, but I'm not knocking it.

Maybe my mind drifted off thinking of the "Twilight" movie I went and saw, all by myself yesterday afternoon. (The movie was nothing compared to the book, but honestly, I did enjoy it...I won't launch into one of my full movie reviews here as there has been so much press about this movie and most people interested have already seen it and formed their own opinions.)

Maybe I drifted off after going to bed relatively early (for me) 10:30pm - and reading 140 pages in the next book in the series, "New Moon".

Maybe my mind was just tired, thinking of all of the preparation I still need to do for the upcoming holidays...I feel like I am really running behind schedule this year. My birthday is this Sunday, and honestly, I couldn't care less...Pickle is turning 15 on Tuesday...I've gotta get something planned for that....I haven't gotten our Christmas picture taken yet, or cards made. I haven't written my annual Christmas letter, and we haven't gotten our tree up...and don't even get me started on shopping...is it January yet?

Whatever the case, nothing bothered me last night....it was wonderful to wake up this morning, knowing that my mind and body were well rested. For a change.

I have a chronic sleep disorder and rarely get more than a few hours, so I know what you mean. It's shocking when you wake up and realize that you actually SLEPT for once! Hope you have many more nights like that. Happy birthday to you and Pickle!

Well, happy upcoming birthday! Enjoy it!

Darwin and Chance say hi -- haven't made a meetup for a while, not even planning my own for the pet therapy meetups. Had surgery beginning of November and just haven't really felt great since then.

Ah well, back to it next year!
