Our First Full Day - part 1

We got a nice early start this morning after a good night of sleep and a fantastic breakfast, courtesy of our dear friends, Ed and Shirley.

AJ was not shy when it came to filling up his plate! We dined on eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes! A meal fit for royalty! It was awesome and VERY much appreciated!

We got rolling just after 7am, saying "so long" to Las Vegas...at least for a little while.

We started off with 345 mile under our belt already, and about 1870 to go. We decided a while back that we would try to enjoy the road trip and see some of the sites along the way. Of course it's always fun to take note of the little markers that help to pass the miles...

Before we knew it, we were in the midst of some spectacular scenery!

And this was just the beginning!

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad as we are cruising on I-70 East, 1422 miles from Purdue.

I just have to ask... why didn't you fly?

Chris- it would have been $4000 in airfare and AJ had too much stuff to bring. He basically packed up his whole room and brought it.
