Have you ever wondered what the "crossroads of America" look like? Well, it looks a lot like this-
and this-
and this-
Sometimes, in my crazy, busy, cluttered life, it's nice to take a moment and take in these great big, wide open, quiet spaces. On our road trip we saw a lot of places like these, places that almost look foreign to those of us that rarely "get out of town." I must say, it was beautiful and grand to see.
Once we actually got into Lafayette, and West Lafayette, where the campus of Purdue is located, AJ and I took Hubby and Pickle back to some of the same spots we'd visited in June. They loved what they saw of the campus as much as we did when we saw it the first time.
Of course Hubby wanted to see the football stadium.
And Pickle thought the engineering fountain was pretty cool.
After a bit of site seeing, it was time to grab a bite to eat. We went to a place very close to campus called "O'Bryan's Nine Irish Brothers." It was AWESOME!
More on that soon - but now it's time to get out for a bit of shopping (it's always the little stuff you forget - hair gel, a screw driver, 3M tape, etc.)
- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad as I sit in our hotel room waiting for everyone else to get ready...

Hi Sue! I have been to Lafayette a few times and it is a great area. NOW can you see why I moved back east?! haha :) I'm so glad that you arrived safely and are taking in the local scenery. Enjoy your stay and the weather. Hopefully it stays nice for your visit. XOXO
Yaaaaay!!!! So glad you all made it safe and sound. It may be the boyhood home of Lincoln, but it is ILLINOIS that is the Land of Lincoln!
Don't Indiana forget it! :-)
Pickle and AJ have fireworks coming out of their eyes....so neat! Have a great weekend!!!
