Makin it "Big Time"? No, not really...

A friend of mine was recently at a costume shop, looking for, what else, a costume for the Halloween party, and was approached by a reporter from the San Diego Union Tribune. The reporter was doing a story on what people are doing for Halloween this year, with the struggling economy, etc. She asked where my friend was going for Halloween, and she mentioned our party. "People still throw Halloween parties?" the reporter asked..."Yup, my friend does," she answered....well the next thing you know, the reporter asks for my number and before long we are chatting about the party, how many people come, etc. I thought it was pretty cool. Well, sure enough, I open my Sunday paper today, and there is my name in print. Pretty cool. I almost feel famous...as famous as I felt when I was featured on a news story about people who walk their dogs everyday. (Remember, it was a while ago, before I had Kona, the camera adds a LOT OF WEIGHT - I've REALLY trimmed down since then... ha ha!) The day after that aired, I was recognized by an older gentleman I saw at a Staples store. He practically asked me for my autograph. I felt like Brittney Spears. OK, well, maybe not that famous. But it was pretty cool.

And to think... I knew here way back when she wasn't famous. But seriously girlfriend - $3000 to $4000? Have you really added up all those receipts? Or is that just what you keep telling Hubby?

Oh heck, I couldn't tell her what I really spend on the party. I'm in denial!
