Sunrise, Sunset

Yesterday was a very long day for us. We were up and out of the house before dawn, and went to bed long after the sun set. We got a lot done though and it was worth the effort of the early morning.

Sunrise:
By 5:30am we were on the freeway, heading to North Hollywood. I'd purchased something at an auction that needed to be paid for and picked up. Our drive to "Smog Angeles" was uneventful and thankfully void of any major traffic issues. The sunrise was truly spectacular!

Of course we HAD to stop by here - the truck was unloading a nice big shipment - too bad they don't make house calls!

Once we'd gotten back home, it was off to take AJ to a movie. We went to see "Funny People" with Adam Sandler, and unfortunately, we were disappointed. It had a much darker story line than we thought it would have, and other than a LOT of weenie jokes for the boys in the audience, there wasn't much humor. Oh well, you can't win them all. In my humble opinion, I wouldn't give this movie much more than a "C-" rating...

The rest of the evening played out quietly, a walk with the dogs, a quite dinner, and a rerun of The Deadliest Catch.

Sunset:

We've had a bit of odd weather lately with a lot of humidity that we friggin hate aren't at all used to. We actually had some quick burst of rain yesterday afternoon which caught us all by surprise. Nothing exciting, but it did make for a lovely sunset.
