...and this, my dear dog loving friends, is why we should be ever so careful when and if we ever allow our fur-babies off leash out of the safety of a controlled environment.

Yeah, brought a tear to my eyes ... so glad Sam was saved.
This was hard for me to watch! I would have been in the water with my pup - I'm so glad it worked out well.

I, too, would have jumped right in, probably to my detriment, but I would have been there.
What a great story, though, Sue, commercial be damned! I thought it was beautiful that so many people valued Sam's life and the bond he had with his human companion. And when that man choked up at the end I said to my computer, and to Duncan, who was laying at my feet, "I get it. I absolutely get it!"
