On 9/11/01 there were man different kinds of heroes. This video honors one of the many.

May we never, ever forget what happened that day ten years ago, the thousands that lost their lives, and the hundreds that died in the process of saving others.

God Bless America, and our Troops who continue the daily struggle to keep America and her allies free.

Talk About Special Treatment!

After a long search, I finally found some specialized music that I'd been looking for for our Halloween party. I ordered a CD from a company called CDBaby.com. Yesterday I received the following shipping confirmation from them. Take a moment and read through the entire thing. Don't we all wish we were treated this well? Pretty cute if you ask me...

Helping(?) Hands

Not long ago I mentioned to my family that I could use a little help around the house. You know, an extra hand here and there once in a while.

This was NOT what I had in mind.Meet my newest Halloween friends. They'll come in very "handy" for sure.

LABOR Day Weekend

It was Labor Day Weekend, and Labor we did - ALL weekend! We are within 2 month of the Halloween now, and time is a-wasting! There is no time to spare now, and with only 7 weekends to work on party prep, we will be using every minute.

Thankfully we got quite a bit done this weekend, in spite of our unexpected rain today. Lots of painting, some construction, and a few important projects got checked off the list.

I'll share a couple more pictures tomorrow, not too many of course - I can't give away too many fun secrets before the party - but it is fun to share some of our hard work with you. I'm very happy with how things are shaping up.

Here is our Anubis head finished... and how his body looked as of yesterday - to give you a little perspective of how large he is (his body is complete now too) a few finishing touches and he will be 100% done!
