Yes Chris, Wilson wears shoes to the hospital because he is allergic to the harsh chemicals they use to clean the floors.
As if he didn't get enough attention just being a big as he is, you should hear what people say when they see him wearing the shoes! It's really pretty funny - but it sure beats him having raw pads!
