Well, so much for that!

I had every good intention of blogging at least once a week this year.  Ha! What was I thinking?  That I might actually have time to blog?  Silly, silly me.  Here it is Feb. 1st already and I've posted exactly ONCE so far this year.

January was busy month.  I did a LOT of visits with Kona, committed to working more with Lucas (aka Squirt) on his manners (he is a work in progress) and so much more.  I visited with some old friends, had a wonderful spa day with one of my besties, surprised another of my besties for her birthday, made a quick trip to Vegas, went to a bridal fair with Bear, had lunch with a couple of different friends on different days, attended the funeral of the father of an old friend, went to a couple of dog events, saw a movie or three, fell down and nearly knocked my teeth our, worked on wedding stuff, worked some gold parties and fundraisers, went on a super cool scavenger hunt, and so much more.  No wonder I didn't get the chance to blog!

But here I am now, so no hard feelings, right?  Here are some photos from the month just to keep you in the loop.

I won a couple hundred bucks on this spin!
 Nice fat lip, huh?
Silk flowers arrangements we made for Bear's Bridal shower.
Hard at work and having a blast!
I got an "UP" by Jawbone, and it monitors how much I sleep (or in my case how much I don't sleep!)
Nothing more fun than surprising someone you love!
We got most of the invitations out!
Hanging with Syl and Bear at a bridal fair.  Lots of good ideas, and goodies to taste and drink test!
Playing with the pups- first pool fun on the year.
 Visits and more visits!
If he were only as well behaved as he looks.  Haha!
Enjoying an evening out (doing a super fun scavenger hunt) and enjoying a walking tour of our lovely city.

April 3 - Beginning with "A"

So...the prompt for today's photo challenge is "something beginning with A."

Surprisingly, I have lots of fun stuff to choose from!

I went with Pickle, Bear & Barry on an Adventure today.  We went geocaching again, and once again had a BLAST!

I was wearing my St. Louis Arch shirt....

and we stumbled upon a geocache that had these little "Aloha" dolls in it.

One of the geocaches we were looking for required us to walk Across this footbridge.

The geocaches are hidden well, and you must look All Around to find them.

Geocaching is like an Easter Egg hunt for Adults and kids Alike. It is a really fun Activity for people of All ages!

This was my favorite find of the day - an Ancient Altoids container with a log book, etc. in it, and best of All, it fits right in with my A theme of the day!

Remember, everyone is welcome to play along with the photo-a-day challenge. Here is a list with this month's prompts.

"Seize the Sky"

This past weekend the Blue Angels came to town as they do every year for the Miramar Air Show. As always it was a spectacular site to see - all 6 of them taking to the air, doing their magnificent precision aerial tricks.

We are lucky enough to live very close to the base and are able to catch most of the show from our back yard.

Here are a few of the photos I was able to snap this year.

Some people complain about the noise that comes with the air show every year, but to me it just sounds like freedom.

Summer Days Drifting Away...

Tomorrow AJ flys back to Indiana. He will be starting back at Purdue on Monday as a sophomore.

Where did the summer go?

We spent our last evening together (for a while at least) enjoying a perfect summer evening picnic at La Jolla Shores. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful sunset.

Next week Pickle will be packing. She leaves in 10 days for Long Beach. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself!

Pass the kleenex.
