Tourista!

The girls and I played tourist today. What a blast! We went ALL OVER Hollywood, Beverly Hills, etc. I would love to show you pictures, but I am tired. Dog tired. We left our house at 6:45am, and got home at 9:30pm. I drove about 350 miles today, and I am not particularly fond of long drives, but it really was a lot of fun. Here is just a taste of pictures I'll post tomorrow. Yep - we saw some celebrities...

...and it was pretty cool - cause that's how we roll.

Wounded Warrior Soldier Ride - picture palooza!

As promised, here are more pictures from Saturday's Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride. What an awesome event it was. Words can't describe how feels to be surrounded by so many heroes. It was humbling, to say the least. Izzy visited with a double amputee. He rode the whole way (50 miles) and was incredible! Kona, as always, soaked up the love.
Bunny enjoyed all of the attention too!
Kalani made this Warrior's day.
Harley is a hoot - and made some many folks happy out there!

And they're off and riding!
Bobbi and Gracie cheer the riders at the start of the 50 miles.
Izzy was feeling pretty patriotic.
Trying to get 6 dogs and their handlers to get posed for a picture was a big job!
This was about as good as it was going to get.
Here we are with our official Wounded Warrior Project volunteer shirts on...
...and here we are with them off!
Harley was pooped after getting all of that lovin'.
Taking a moment for a break about 26 miles into the ride.

This guy was smiling all day.
We saw lots of these types of bikes out there.
When it was all done, Hubby shared a little snack with you-know-who.

One of the other riders - Mike, with his pups.

Wounded Warrior Soldier Ride

I am so proud of Hubby and AJ (and the rest of their teammates) for riding over 50 miles today in support of our nation's Wounded Warriors.

What an awesome event it was today!

Lots more pictures to come soon, but for now, my bed is calling.

Workin' Like a Dog!

Kona was a busy, busy boy once again this week. He went on 4 visits this week, got groomed and is looking forward to a full day of fun tomorrow out and about with the Wounded Warriors taking part in the Soldier Ride.

It will be a long, very busy day. Hubby and AJ will be riding 50 miles along with their Love on a Leash teammates, who, as of this evening are still the number 1 fundraising team in the entire event. If that isn't awesome, I don't know what is!

Wish them luck, and good weather!

I've got a new boyfriend.

His name is Jim.

No, wait. His name Gym.

Guess who got herself a gym membership...guess who's getting back on the "fitness" wagon. Bear! Ok, and me. We signed up together and will workout together when she has days off. When she's not around, I'll hang out with Gym by myself. We spent an hour together this evening, and he kicked my @ss - but in a good way, ya know?

Anywho...wish me luck that we have a long, happy relationship. I'm ready to kick it back into gear...

'nuff said.

My National TV Debut

First off, let me tell you that we had a blast!

It was a long drive into Studio City. We left our house at 5:45am, before the sun came up.

We headed to my friend Lisa's house. She'd gotten the tickets and invited Bear and I to join her.

We cruised through Smell A L.A. and enjoyed the change of scenery.

We enjoyed the drive, especially because someone else was driving!
We finally arrived at the CBS studios around 9:30am. We weren't supposed to have cameras with us, so I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked...
We joined the other 120 or so people with tickets to see the show, had our IDs checked, etc., and before we knew it, it was time for taping. We'd never been to a live show taping before, and it was a lot of fun, a lot of clapping, and an all around interesting experience.

Ok, so are you ready for my big debut? Well, don't blink or you'll miss it. (Remember to look for my light blue-ish, turquoise colored sweater.)

Pretty exciting stuff, huh? I haven't had anyone stop and ask me for my autograph yet, but I'm waiting...
